WHAT IS THE SERIES 400 FEED COMMANDER?
The Series 400 Feed Commander is an air driven feed broadcaster designed for single operator
control of feed volume and broadcast coverage. With a wide variety of farm site configurations in
mind, the Feed Commander is offered with a 1000 kilogram capacity hopper and as either a
stationary or mobile unit. The stationary Series 400 Feed Commander has been designed for
positioning on central walkways, for barge, boat or skiff mounting, or for quick deployment in the
back of a truck. The mobile Series 400 Feed Commander is ideal for central steel cage system
walkways, feed barges, and land based applications. Designed with three large pneumatic wheels to
(insure a stable stance), the ability to be turned within its own length, and full rear wheel steering,
braking and wheel locking.
HOW DOES THE FEED COMMANDER WORK?
All Aero-Spreader Feed Commander Broadcaster models operate using a reliable 9 hp. Honda
motor and low oil alert to direct drive a large 15 high efficiency blower. Maximum simplicity has
been designed into each Feed Commander with the use of two moving hand controls for manual
adjustment of feed flow from the hopper as well as adjustments to blower speed used to determine
feed broadcast distance. A stainless steel flexible, hand held broadcast nozzle is designed for
line-of-site placement of feed pellets anywhere within the pen. Other nozzle configurations allow for
various feed broadcast patterns and feed coverage distances. At any time the operator may close
the feed flow control handle to immediately stop the flow of feed as is necessary to observe feeding
habits or to relocate the feeder to the next feedng location.
WHAT CAN THE FEED COMMANDER DO?
Stationary unit can be used on any stable platform. Mobile unit rolls on large pneumatic wheels insuring effortless movement and quick site positioning with full rear wheel turning and wheel lock combined with the ability to turn within itsown length.
Does not block walkways. Mobile unit can be rolled and stored anywhere. stationary unit ideally suited for skiff or truck mounting
Handles a broad range of feed pellet sizes and infinitely variable broadcast distances, and broadcast patterns.
No external electrical cords, piping, power, or control functions required.
Delivers over 3,400 kg. per hour.
If fish not eating - wastage eliminated by immediately stopping feed flow.
Accurate hand held flex nozzle covers all corners of the pen.
Either hand held flexible hose or rigid aluminum broadcast tube offers variety of broadcast patterns and distances. Either will maximize coverage, eliminate feeding stress, and insure higher feed conversion rates.
Two moving parts, low oil shutdown, and a direct drive blower (no belts to tensioners to adjust) insures feeder is robust and easily maintained.
