Ultraviolet sterilizer selection

UV radiation must be used 24 hours a day for optimum results. Also, it is important to select a UV sterilizer large enough to provide a minimun of 15,000 wsec/cm2 radiation besed upon the flow rate of the pump used.Proper sizing and continuous operation will guard against microorganism "bloom" , which can accur in less than 6 hours with some pathogenic species.

Ultraviolet Intensities . All Sterilizers are engineered to produce UV intensities of 15,000 wsec/cm2 at 1,000 GPH per 30 watt bilb. This intensity-flow factor is pre-calculated for you in the selection chart under the "Maximun Flow Rate" column. Increase intensity by decreasing flow rate, single pass sustems require 30,000-60,000 wsec/cm2

Electrical. All units operate with 115V/60Hz power, Models available for 220V/50Hz operation by special order.
