WHAT IS THE SERIES 500 FEED ADMIRAL?
With the introduction of open water circular pens the Series 500 Feed Admiral is suitable for boat
positioning and open water feeding regimes. The Series 500 Feed Commander is an air driven feed
broadcaster designed for single operator control of feed volume and broadcast coverage using the
same controls found on all "Aero-Spreader" Series of feed brodcasters. Along with the standard
manual hopper controls for feed broadcast volume and for blower speed the operator has the
opportunity to select one of two hoppers. This split hopper approach is suitable for holding up to
five (5) metric tonnes of feed of a single feed size or 2.5 metric tonnes of each of two feed sizes. A
large pair of all weather fold away hopper lids insures the Series 500 Feed Admiral is able to take
advantage of quick bulk bag loading techniques.
HOW DOES THE FEED ADMIRAL WORK?
The Series 500 Feed Admiral operates using a choice of three high efficiency blower units. A direct
drive 9 hp Honda gas driven 15" blower complete with low oil alert, a 10 hp belt driven Honda 15"
blower system, or a hydraulically operated 20" blower system run off main engine power. In all
cases maximum simplicity has been designed into each Feed Admiral with the use of two moving
hand controls for manual adjustment of feed flow from the hopper as well as adjustments to blower
speed used to determine feed broadcast distance. A stainless steel flexible, hand held broadcast
nozzle is designed for line-of-site placement of feed pellets anywhere within the pen. Other nozzle
configurations allow for various feed broadcast patterns and feed coverage distances. At any time
the operator may close the feed flow control handle to immediately stop the flow of feed as is
necessary to observe feeding habits or to relocate the feeder to the next feeding location.
WHAT CAN THE FEED ADMIRAL DO?
The Feed Admiral can be placed on any suitable vessel to produce a highly mobile, high capacity feed broadcaster for open water or multiple circular pen applications.
Handles a broad range of feed pellet sizes and infinitely variable broadcast distances, and broadcast patterns.
No external electrical cords, piping, power, or control functions required.
Delivers over 3,600 kg. per hour.
If fish not eating - wastage eliminated by immediately stopping feed flow.
Accurate hand held flex nozzle covers all corners of the pen.
Aluminum broadcast tube, boom supported broadcast tube with pellet deflector. All offer a variety of broadcast patterns and distances. All options will maximize coverage, eliminate feeding stress, and insure higher feed conversion rates
